Card Tuesday - Bitty Butterfly

I don't think I ever got to share this card - its one I cased off the net a while ago. The one I saw had buttons, but I decided to use butterflies instead.

Christmas Extravaganza!

Not really Scrapbook Saturday

Hi folks, I know its now Sunday, and I don't have a layout to share with you. Life just got a little busy this week with my husband having an operation. But I do have a super cute project to show you! This is a banner I made for my sons friend. She is having her 3rd birthday party today, and I made her this banner using the new banner kit from the holiday catalogue.



Materials: Build a Banner Kit (133507), Melon Mambo (126948), Tangerine Tango(126946) and Wisteria Wonder (126985) ink, Bitty Butterfly(129406) and Elegant Butterfly(127526) punches, Melon Mambo (119980) and Tangerine Tango (116206) cardstock, Sponge Daubers (102892), random ribbon, flowers and brads from my stash.

The kit comes with the canvas banners and stencils to ink the patterns and letters. Then I raided my stash of old ribbons and flowers, added some butterflies and the included string and it was all done! How super easy is that and what a stunning result! I can't wait to make more of these!!

Scrapbook Saturday - Chevron Punch

My new favourite toy is the chevron punch from the holiday catalogue (not sure what it has to with the holidays, but I am not complaining!!). Not only do you get perfectly shaped chevron punch outs, you also get a never ending perfectly aligned row of chevron "holes"! Its a little hard to see in the photo, but I used the row of chevron "holes" behind my photos which added dimension and texture.

I am in love with this little stamp set. I love the song, and this sentiment is perfect for Christmas cards. Each time I use it I have the song in my head all day, and I hope the recipients of these cards do too! How festive!!

Best of Christmas

As part of Stampin'Up!s 25-year anniversary celebration, they are bringing back some of their favourite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 11 sets, which will release-one set per month-until April 2014. Even better, along with some great classic images, each "Best of" set will also include a never-before-seen image!.

This month is this grogeous Best of Christmas set.

Some things to remember:

• All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $25.95.
• While SU are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month (with a new theme each month) until april, all of the Best of sets will be available until April 2014.
• All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.
• The stamp images may be sized differently from the original stamp sets.
