The first thing you need is to gather all your supplies. If you have your album set up as much as possible before the 1st December, you will have a better chance at following through and getting the album finished.
What you need:

You need an album. I have chosen a 6”x8” album from the Holiday Catalogue on page 36. It’s the perfect size between 12x12 being too big and 6x6 (or smaller) being too small. Remember you will be documenting each day in December so you don’t want to be struggling to fill each page. You want to have enough room for 1 or 2 photos, journaling and embellishments. 6”x8” or 8”x8” is perfect.
You need page protectors. Pocket pages are perfect for this project. Once again you will be doing this each day, so you want a simple approach. Even creating an entire 6x8 layout everyday can be too daunting and you run the risk of not completing the album. With a pocket page approach, we can complete some of the pockets even before we start in December.

You need things for in the pockets! To make life really simple, I used the Hello December cards and accessory pack. I will have more details on how to use all these in another post, however if you want to use what you have at home, you will need to gather cards (or patterned paper/cardstock cut to your page pocket sizes), and embellishments to match.
